If you have a meal plan, your FSU student ID card is your key to on-campus dining. Your card is swiped to gain entry into the McCarthy Dining Commons or to purchase food with Dining Dollars at our other campus restaurants.
All resident students are required to have a meal plan. Those who do not pick one are defaulted into a plan based on their academic year. The Ultimate plan is the default for freshman and sophomores and the Flex Plan is the default for upperclassmen.

You have two options.

  1. You can log into myFramingham, look under Student Accounts, then click 'Change Meal Plan' to select your change. University Dining Services will automatically be notified of your request.
  2. You can visit the University Dining Services Office to request a change in meal plan.  Please note that changes to a lower meal plan may only be made prior to add/drop.

The week runs Monday – Sunday so your meals will reset starting Monday morning.

Your FSU card is your student ID which provides access to residence halls.  If you have a meal plan, your FSU card is used for meals in the McCarthy Dining Commons.  If you have a meal plan with Dining Dollars (University Dining Locations ONLY) or RAM Cash, you may use your FSU card for purchases at all University Dining Services locations, at the bookstore, for laundry, at selected snack vending machines and at a variety of Off-Campus vendors. Please visit the Ram Cash page of our website for additional information and instructions for getting started. For more information on your FSU Card please visit the Student Identification Card page of the university's website.

Lost FSU cards must be reported to the ID Office during business hours or to Campus Police on nights and weekends.  There is a $20.00 fee for replacement of a lost card.  Cards may also be put on hold via Blackboard. To obtain a meal in the McCarthy Dining Commons when your FSU card is lost or forgotten you must visit the University Dining Services office to obtain a form to allow you access into the McCarthy Dining Commons or use a fellow student's guest pass.

Use of your FSU card is limited to the person identified on the card.

University Dining understands the importance of providing balanced and nutritious choices across campus that meet your dietary needs. We have two stations in the McCarthy Dining Commons to meet the needs of those dining with food allergies or intolerances. Simple Servings excludes milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, and gluten from menus, which change for lunch and dinner. This station has its own cookware, oven and stovetops, utensils and service ware as well as storage space to avoid cross-contact. My Zone is a designated area that offers gluten-friendly products and separate equipment for those following a gluten-free lifestyle. The pantry houses products ranging from breads, to condiments, to desserts with precautions to prevent cross-contact. You can also make a free appointment with the Campus Dietitian. She is available to discuss any questions or concerns regarding dining on-campus with food allergies. She will meet with you to discuss your dietary restrictions and help you navigate the McCarthy Dining Commons and other campus restaurants. Contact the Campus Dietitian, Laura Klotz at Laura.Klotz@sodexo.com
Dining Dollars are funds that come with your meal plan. Ram Cash funds are separately added to your account. Ram Cash can be used at all our campus locations, certain off-campus restaurants and for FSU Dorm Hall laundry machines. Please visit our website for the most updated list of off-campus restaurants accepting Ram Cash.
